Hiring Eric as a private guide was the highlight of our trip to Kaua'i. Eric was a joy to be with and he put all our worries at ease. He was extremely patient with us even after we lost his cooler! He customized just the right trip for us. He showed us places off the beaten path and he went out of his way to make sure we had the best experience. We loved the secluded waterfalls with a rope swing and the remote perfect white sand beach. We will definitely call Eric when we have an opportunity to explore Kaua'i again.

Eric provided a great tour of upper Waiamea Canyon for our family of 3, including a 12-year old. He was knowledgeable, safety-minded, respectful of the moment and fun to be with. We would highly recommend him and look forward to hiring him again for a Na'Pali hike next time we're in Kauai.

I have a large group, five people we want to hike everywhere! We hiked with another private guide and got stopped on the trail by ranger on napali and sent back. Do you have a commercial hiking permit?

Eric is THE person you want to show you Kauai at it's best-a front row seat!. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting, getting to know, and of course, hiking the Waimea Canyon with Eric. He is professional in every aspect of his job. He responds quickly to requests, he tailors your hike to your wishes, needs, and all of the factors that outdoors Kauai throws at him. He is personable, flexible, and extremely patient. Go hike with Eric-it is the best adventure on the island!
Just returned from an incredible 5 hour ridge hike up to the towers below the Kahili summit with Eric leading the way. Views 70% of island from here. Magnificent. We've been coming over here for years, but finding Eric was certainly a highlight. He shared island history, topography, flora, has a deep love for the outdoors, and we certainly connected. His services are unique, and I can't think of anyone over the past 30 years who can customize an outdoor experience like he did. Worth every penny, and I'll definitely come back for more. My husband and I had the pleasure of hiking with Eric from Hike Kauai with Me and the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. He made sure we felt safe and let us set the pace. His passion is hiking and he was happy to share a bit of paradise with us. We didn't see another sole the entire hike until the very end when were minutes from his truck.
Words cannot describe how beautiful Kauai is; one really needs to see it in the flesh to understand. We were thrilled to experience a piece of this island that we would never of have seen otherwise. We hiked inland into the middle of the island and when we rounded the last corner to our destination, it actually took my breath away. There was a beautiful waterfall, pristine swimming hole and Mt. Wai'ale'ale in the background. All the mud and water was so worth it (and I really mean muddy and wet!).
If you only do one thing on Kauai, I would suggest booking a hike with Hike Kauai with Me. It's the best way to see this island and create memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks Eric! We will be back.

It was the most enjoyable part of our short, 1-week trip to Kauai. Eric is so knowledgable with the history of Kauai. He taught us well with his expertise in hiking, paddle boarding and kayaking.
We've been taking yearly trips to the different islands of Hawaii for many years now. This one was surely the most enjoyable and memorable one. Many thanks to Eric, Marinka & Lil Keilana. Can't wait til next year so we can enjoy the rest of this beautiful island and our new found friends.
